Sustainability

LAMAGADA is a sustainable home with an A rating, the highest energy efficiency classification awarded by the Agència de l'Habitatge de Catalunya.

Sustainability has been a priority at every stage, from design and construction to daily use:

• Orientation: The house faces south to maximize sunlight hours, reducing the consumption of energy resources.

• Construction: Local materials have been used, with some being repurposed. For example, the stones in the walls, fences, and garden are sourced from the area, and the wooden beams in the porch have been treated for a second life. In terms of insulation, the house is designed to maintain an optimal interior temperature year-round. The garden also preserves native trees, and landscaped areas feature carefully tended flowers and plants. The artificial grass in the garden requires no irrigation, offering a clean, comfortable, and always well-maintained surface.

• Use: The house has a rainwater collection system that is used to fill sink cisterns, water plants, and regenerate pool water. The chimney includes a heat recovery unit that distributes warmth throughout the house. The heating system operates on aerothermal energy, using thermal energy from the air to guarantee efficient performance and energy savings. It is 75% renewable and clean energy.

• Interior: The spacious, cozy, and practical interior is flooded with natural light. The kitchen-dining area and two of the bedrooms offer direct access to the porch. The house is fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

• Exterior: The Ibizan-style porch wraps around the entire house, adding charm and enhancing the outdoor living experience. The swimming pool, barbecue area, and garden spaces offer the perfect setting for enjoying the outdoors.
